Wood Walls That Actually Perform

A well-done wood wall changes the feel of a room. It adds warmth, character, and — when spec'd correctly — real acoustic benefit. We install wood grille wall panels and wood plank wall panels from 9Wood, Rulon International, and Armstrong for commercial projects across Northern California.

What We Install

Wood Grille Wall Panels

Open grille systems with evenly spaced wood members and acoustic backing behind. They look great and they absorb sound — NRC 0.50-0.80 with proper infill. Good for lobbies, feature walls, and branded environments. Available from all three manufacturers in multiple species, spacings, and finishes.

Wood Plank Wall Panels

Solid wood planks in tongue-and-groove or clip-on configurations. Creates a warm, continuous surface. Available in narrow to wide widths. Can be perforated with acoustic backing for sound control, or solid for a purely visual treatment.

Linear Wood Wall Systems

Modern linear profiles — consistent or mixed widths — running vertically or horizontally. These can carry from wall to ceiling to tie a room together. Standard and custom profiles from 9Wood, Rulon, and Armstrong.

Our Manufacturer Partners

  • 9Wood (Springfield, OR): Biggest name in custom wood ceilings and walls. Huge product range. FSC-certified options. Good engineering support from concept to install.
  • Rulon International: High-end wood systems. Known for quality craftsmanship and the ability to do complex custom work. Made in the USA.
  • Armstrong WoodWorks: Armstrong's commercial wood line. Solid linear, grille, and panel systems with acoustic options. Backed by Armstrong's national support network.

Acoustic Performance

Wood grille walls with acoustic backing behind the slats absorb sound that would otherwise bounce off hard wall surfaces. The result: less echo, lower noise levels, clearer conversations. For open offices, restaurants, and lobbies, this makes a real difference in how the room sounds — and how comfortable people are in it.
