Metal Ceiling Installation

Contemporary, durable metal ceiling systems for modern commercial and institutional spaces.

Why Metal Ceilings?

Metal ceilings offer a combination of durability, modern aesthetics, and performance that makes them ideal for high-end commercial spaces, institutional buildings, and environments where ceiling longevity is paramount. Unlike mineral fiber tiles that can sag, stain, or deteriorate over time, metal panels maintain their appearance and structural integrity for decades. They're resistant to moisture, mold, and impact damage, making them the ceiling of choice for demanding environments.

Types of Metal Ceiling Systems

  • Lay-In Metal Panels: Flat or perforated metal panels that install in a standard suspension grid, similar to acoustical tiles. Available in steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys with various surface finishes. The most straightforward way to get a metal ceiling look with standard grid infrastructure.
  • Snap-In/Hook-On Panels: Panels that attach directly to concealed carriers, creating a monolithic ceiling surface with no visible grid. Creates a clean, seamless appearance ideal for high-end applications.
  • Linear Metal Strips: Narrow metal panels installed in parallel rows, creating a directional linear effect. Available in various widths and can be installed with open or closed joints. Popular for corridors, lobbies, and exterior soffits.
  • Metal Mesh & Expanded Metal: Open-weave metal systems that provide visual screening while maintaining air flow and sprinkler effectiveness. Used for dramatic visual effect in lobbies, atriums, and retail spaces.
  • Custom Fabricated: Curved panels, perforated patterns, custom colors, and integrated lighting — metal's formability allows for virtually unlimited design possibilities.

Materials & Finishes

  • Aluminum: Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and available in the widest range of finishes. Ideal for most interior applications and exterior soffits.
  • Steel: Greater structural rigidity and up to 98% recycled content. Powder-coated or pre-painted for durability.
  • Stainless Steel: For environments requiring maximum corrosion resistance — food processing, laboratories, clean rooms.
  • Finishes: Powder coat (unlimited RAL colors), anodized, wood-look laminates, brushed, mirror, perforated patterns, and custom digital prints.

Acoustic Performance

Metal ceilings achieve acoustic performance through perforation patterns and acoustic fleece backing. Micro-perforated panels with fleece can achieve NRC ratings up to 0.90 — comparable to the best mineral fiber tiles. We help you select the right perforation pattern and backing material to meet your acoustic requirements while maintaining the clean visual appeal of metal.

Sustainability

Metal ceilings are among the most sustainable ceiling options available. Steel panels contain up to 98% recycled content, and aluminum panels are 100% recyclable at end of life. Metal ceilings last significantly longer than mineral fiber, reducing replacement waste. High light reflectance reduces lighting energy consumption.
